Darlene’s Shadow

Darlene’s grade four class is planning an overnight camp. Darlene is excited until she finds out that her buddy is going to be the new girl, Noy, who has recently arrived from Cambodia and doesn’t speak any English.

Because Darlene was kind to her one day, Noy has started to follow her around like a shadow and all the kids tease her about it. Now Darlene will have to stick with Noy all the time at camp and that will ruin the whole adventure.
